"Avowed Targets 60FPS on Xbox Series X"

Obsidian Entertainment's highly anticipated role-playing game, Avowed, is set to deliver a smooth 60 frames per second experience on the Xbox Series X. According to game director Carrie Patel in an interview with MinnMax, players can expect to reach up to 60fps on Microsoft's flagship console. However, those playing on the Xbox Series S will be capped at 30fps, as previously announced.

While it remains uncertain whether Avowed will feature the common performance and graphics modes—typically offering 60fps at reduced visual quality versus 30fps with enhanced visuals—it's not yet clear if the Xbox Series X version will automatically hit 60fps by default.

Scheduled for release on February 13, Avowed will be available for $89.99. Fans looking to purchase the game at a lower price point of $69.99 will have to wait until February 18, reflecting a pricing strategy that some publishers have adopted but others, like Ubisoft, have already abandoned.

Set within the universe of Pillars of Eternity, Avowed offers a first-person fantasy RPG experience that places a strong emphasis on player choice. The narrative unfolds through themes of war, mystery, and intrigue, allowing players to explore the expansive world and build relationships or rivalries with its inhabitants.

In IGN's Final Preview, Avowed received accolades for its engaging dialogue, freedom of choice, and overall enjoyment, with reviewers stating that "Avowed is just a lot of fun."
