  • ARK: Survival Ascended has unveiled an extensive content roadmap extending until late 2026.
  • The remastered version of ARK: Survival Evolved will transition to Unreal Engine 5, featuring new maps and updates over the next two years.
  • The game will also introduce multiple new Fantastic Tames and community-voted free creatures in the near future.

Studio Wildcard has recently released an updated content roadmap for ARK: Survival Ascended, outlining nearly two years of planned updates for the game. The remastered version of the popular survival crafting game, ARK: Survival Evolved, initially launched in early access in late November 2023. Since then, Studio Wildcard has been consistently rolling out content updates to enhance the gaming experience.

On January 11, the developer, based in Redmond, Washington, shared its ambitious roadmap for ARK: Survival Ascended, which extends until late 2026. The first major update on the agenda is a technical patch scheduled for March 2025, which will upgrade the game to Unreal Engine 5.5. This upgrade is expected to bring significant performance improvements. Additionally, Studio Wildcard plans to reintroduce support for Nvidia's frame generation technology, which had been temporarily removed in the second half of 2024 due to engine-related issues.

The UE5 update will also continue Studio Wildcard's efforts to restructure the game's data, allowing players to download ARK: Survival Ascended DLC packs individually. This approach aims to reduce the game's overall install size, making it more manageable for players. Following the engine update, new content is slated for April 2025, including a Fantastic Tame and a free Bison creature.

In June 2025, a new premium map will be introduced as paid DLC. While details about this map remain under wraps, Studio Wildcard plans to reveal more information in the coming months, possibly in early spring. August 2025 will see the addition of another Fantastic Tame and a community-voted free creature.

Looking ahead to 2026, Studio Wildcard will focus on remastering ARK: Survival Evolved's Genesis expansions. Genesis: Part 1 is scheduled for April 2026, followed by Part 2 in August 2026. Both parts will be released alongside segments of Bob's True Tales, a new content drop previously announced as part of the game's season pass. The year will conclude with the release of a remastered Fjordur map in December 2026, available as a free update. Additionally, three more Fantastic Tames are planned to be introduced throughout 2026.

While the roadmap provides a broad overview of the planned updates, Studio Wildcard may have additional surprises in store for ARK: Survival Ascended players over the next two years.
