6 Popular Cartoon Network Games Removed From Digital Storefronts

Warner Bros. Discovery's sudden removal of several Cartoon Network and Adult Swim games has sparked significant backlash from fans. Without explanation, popular titles like Steven Universe: Save the Light and Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time have been delisted from digital storefronts, including Steam and the Nintendo eShop. This leaves players unable to legally purchase these beloved games.

This action is part of a larger cost-cutting strategy by Warner Bros. Discovery, mirroring previous decisions to shelve films and remove content from streaming services. A similar delisting event occurred in March 2024, affecting several Adult Swim titles, although public outcry prevented the complete removal of some games then.

At least six games were pulled on December 23rd, 2024. These include:

Adventure Time: Finn and Jake's Epic Quest Adventure Time: Magic Man's Head Games OK K.O.! Let's Play Heroes Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time Steven Universe: Save the Light Steven Universe: Unleash the Light

Each game's storefront listing displays a brief message announcing the removal, attributed to Cartoon Network Games or Adult Swim Games. Interestingly, some Cartoon Network titles, such as Cartoon Network Journeys VR, remain available. The soundtrack for OK K.O.! Let's Play Heroes is also still for sale.

The oldest game affected, Adventure Time: Finn and Jake's Epic Quest, debuted in April 2014. The removal of Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time is particularly controversial, as it contains the canonical ending to the show's final season. The lack of explanation from Warner Bros. Discovery, Cartoon Network Games, and Adult Swim Games has fueled fan frustration and anger.
