Le développeur Shift Up a connu une année record sur le plan financier grâce à Stellar Blade, générant 43 millions de dollars de redevances. La version PC devrait surpasser la sortie originale sur PlayStation 5.

Selon Game World Observer, le rapport financier 2024 de Shift Up a affiché un chiffre d'affaires de 151,4 millions de dollars — soit une augmentation de 30.4% en glissement annuel. Les redevances de Stellar Blade ont à elles seules contribué à hauteur de 43,2 millions de dollars.

Il n'y a aucun signe de ralentissement, car Shift Up a réitéré que les ventes sur PC devraient être "meilleures que la version console, en particulier sur le marché asiatique." Le studio prévoit également d'annoncer son nouveau titre, Project Witches, au premier semestre 2025. Cela ne semble pas être la suite tant attendue de Stellar Blade.

Project Witches a été dévoilé en 2024, peu après la sortie de Stellar Blade sur PS5 — avant que la demande pour une suite ne prenne de l'ampleur. Néanmoins, Shift Up a confirmé qu'il envisageait un autre épisode dans la franchise.

Dans Stellar Blade, les joueurs incarnent Eve, combattant des envahisseurs inconnus pour reconquérir la Terre à travers un combat d'action-RPG au rythme effréné. La critique d'IGN lui a attribué la note de 7/10, et le jeu s'est avéré extrêmement populaire, atteignant rapidement le million d'exemplaires vendus.
