The Goal: Be the first to play all your cards!
Gameplay:
Each player receives 13 cards. The player holding the 3 of Spades starts the first round. Subsequent rounds begin with the winner of the previous round playing any valid card combination. Players take turns playing higher-ranking card sets or passing. Three passes end a round, and the last player to play starts the next. The game concludes when a player depletes their hand.
Card Combinations and Ranking:
- Single: One card.
- Pair: Two cards of the same rank.
- Triple: Three cards of the same rank.
- Quadruple: Four cards of the same rank (special).
- Series: Three or more consecutive cards.
- Double Series: Six or more consecutive pairs (special).
Card rank order: 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, J, Q, K, A, 2. Suits rank: Spades (highest), Clubs, Diamonds, Hearts. Sets are compared by their highest-ranking cards.
Special Rules for Winning with Special Hands:
The 2 (Deuce or Pig) is the highest-ranking card. However, certain special sets can beat deuces:
- A double series of six cards beats a single deuce.
- A quadruple beats a double series of six cards, a single deuce, or a pair of deuces.
- A double series of eight cards beats a quadruple, a double series of six cards, a single deuce, or a pair of deuces.
Automatic Wins:
Certain hands result in an immediate win without playing:
- Six pairs.
- Four deuces.
