Zenless Zone Zero Tier List: December 24, 2024 Update
HoYoverse's Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ) boasts a diverse cast of characters, each with unique mechanics and synergy potential. This tier list ranks all available Agents in ZZZ version 1.1, reflecting the current meta. Note that tier lists are dynamic and subject to change with new content. For example, while Grace was initially a top performer, the addition of powerful Anomaly units like Miyabi has shifted the meta.

S-Tier
S-Tier Agents are top-performing units excelling in their roles and synergizing effectively with others.
- Miyabi: Miyabi's swift Frost attacks and immense damage output make her a standout. While requiring strategic play, mastering her abilities allows for devastating battlefield dominance.

- Jane Doe: A superior version of Piper, Jane Doe's critical hit potential on Assault Anomalies significantly surpasses Piper's damage. Despite the inherent slower pace of Anomaly units, her potent Assault capabilities place her alongside Zhu Yuan and Ellen in S-Tier.

- Yanagi: Yanagi specializes in triggering Disorder, activating the effect without needing a Shock application on top of another Anomaly. Her effectiveness hinges on existing enemy Anomalies, making her ideal for pairing with Miyabi.

- Zhu Yuan: Zhu Yuan's rapid-fire Shot Shells deliver exceptional DPS. She pairs well with Stun and Support characters, particularly Qingyi and Nicole in version 1.1. Qingyi provides quick stuns, while Nicole boosts Ether damage and reduces enemy defense.

- Caesar: Caesar redefines the Defensive Agent role. Exceptional protection, powerful buffs and debuffs, Impact scaling for easy stuns, and crowd control capabilities solidify her position as a leading Support Agent.

- Qingyi: A versatile Stunner effective in any squad with an Attack Agent. Her fluid movements and rapid Daze buildup, coupled with a significant damage multiplier against stunned enemies, make her superior to Lycaon and Koleda, except in Ice teams with Ellen where Lycaon's additional Ice effects prove advantageous.

- Lighter: A Stun Agent with significant buffs, Lighter synergizes best with Fire and Ice characters, securing his high ranking due to the strength of units within those elements.

- Lycaon: Lycaon's Ice-based stun abilities, particularly his charged attacks, enhance Anomaly reactions. His crucial ability to reduce Ice resistance and increase ally Daze DMG makes him essential for any Ice team.

- Ellen: An Ice-element Attack Agent, Ellen's synergy with Lycaon and Soukaku is exceptional. After Lycaon stuns and Soukaku buffs, Ellen delivers devastating damage, especially with her EX Special Attacks and Ultimate.

- Harumasa: An originally free S-Rank Electric Attack character requiring specific setup to unleash his full potential.

- Soukaku: A Support Agent who buffs Ice Anomalies, significantly enhancing Ice units like Ellen and Lycaon.

- Rina: Rina provides significant DMG while granting allies PEN (defense ignore), further boosting her damage output through PEN sharing. Her Shock Anomaly generation and buffs also benefit Electric characters.

A-Tier
A-Tier Agents are strong in specific team compositions, performing well in their roles overall.
- Nicole: An Ether Support, Nicole's abilities pull enemies into energy fields, beneficial for AoE units like Nekomata. She significantly reduces enemy DEF and increases team Ether DMG, though her benefits are less pronounced for non-Ether DPS units.

- Seth: A Shielder and Support, Seth is less impactful than top-tier buffers like Soukaku and Caesar, particularly due to his niche application for Anomaly DPS while ATK buffs remain beneficial for Anomaly teams.

- Lucy: A Support unit providing off-field DMG and a substantial ATK% buff. Her DPS increases with synergistic character pairings.

- Piper: While her kit centers around her EX Special Attack, it remains highly effective. Her Assault Anomaly generation and synergy with other Anomaly units for Disorder activation make her valuable.

- Grace: Grace's ability to rapidly apply Shock and trigger continuous DMG, especially when paired with other Anomaly-building characters for Disorder activation, remains relevant despite the rise of other Anomaly Agents.

- Koleda: A reliable Fire/Stun character, Koleda's rapid Daze buildup makes her versatile, especially in teams with other Fire units. Her synergy with Ben enhances her moveset.

- Anby: Anby is a reliable Stun unit with quick and effective combos and added utility of bullet deflection. However, her susceptibility to interruption limits her compared to other Stun Agents.

- Soldier 11: A straightforward high-damage dealer, Soldier 11's Fire-infused attacks are easily activated through her special attacks.

B-Tier
B-Tier Agents offer some utility, but other characters outperform them.
- Ben: The only Defensive character in ZZZ 1.0, Ben's parry and punish mechanics are fun but his slow combat speed and limited team benefits limit his effectiveness.

- Nekomata: Nekomata deals high AoE DMG but relies heavily on team support, currently hampered by a lack of synergistic units within her Element and Faction.

C-Tier
C-Tier Agents currently offer limited value.
- Corin: Corin's Physical DMG excels against stunned enemies but is outperformed by other Physical Attack units like Nekomata and Piper.

- Billy: Billy's damage output is insufficient, despite his flashy attacks. While useful in quick-swap teams, other DPS characters surpass him.

- Anton: Anton's continuous Shock DMG is hampered by low DPS and single-target attacks.
