Halo and Microsoft Flight Simulator Rumored for PS5 and Nintendo Switch 2 Release

Reports suggest that Halo: The Master Chief Collection and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 are in development for PlayStation 5 and the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2. A prominent industry insider, NateTheHate, claims both titles are slated for a 2025 release. This follows Microsoft's February 2024 initiative to bring more first-party titles to other consoles.

Microsoft's multi-platform strategy began with Pentiment, Hi-Fi Rush, Grounded, and Sea of Thieves, with As Dusk Falls and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 later joining the list. Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is also expected on PS5 in Spring 2025.

NateTheHate's report indicates that Halo: The Master Chief Collection, a six-game compilation, is among the titles planned for PS5 and Switch 2. He also predicts Microsoft Flight Simulator, likely referring to the recently released MFS 2024, will also see a multi-platform release in 2025.

This prediction is supported by another insider, Jez Corden, who tweeted that significantly more Xbox games will be released on PS5 and Switch 2 in 2025, suggesting the end of exclusive Xbox titles.

The future of Call of Duty on Nintendo platforms remains uncertain, though a ten-year agreement ensures its presence. The release on Switch may be delayed pending the launch of the more powerful Switch 2, better equipped to handle the game's graphical demands.
