World of Warcraft's Extended Timewalking Extravaganza: Turbulent Timeways Returns!

World of Warcraft players are in for a treat! The Turbulent Timeways event is back, offering a whopping seven weeks of Timewalking campaigns, running until February 24th. Prepare for a nostalgic journey through WoW's history, with the chance to earn exciting new rewards, amass Timewarped Badges, and benefit from a significant experience boost.

This expanded event builds upon the successful five-week run from September 2023. Players once again have the opportunity to earn the stackable Mastery of Timeways buff, granting a 20% experience bonus after completing four Timewalking dungeons. However, the stakes are higher this time around.

A Timewalking Marathon:

The seven-week event cycles through various expansions, offering a diverse Timewalking experience:

• January 7-13: Mists of Pandaria
• January 14-20: Warlords of Draenor
• January 21-27: Legion
• January 28-February 3: Classic
• February 4-10: The Burning Crusade
• February 11-17: Wrath of the Lich King
• February 18-24: Cataclysm

Rewards and Achievements:

Completing the Mastery of Timeways buff for five out of the seven weeks unlocks the "Mastery of the Turbulent Timeways 2" achievement, rewarding players with the coveted Timely Buzzbee mount. Timewalking vendors across all expansions feature new permanent items, including Season of Discovery transmogs at the Classic vendor. Additionally, the Sandy Shalewing pet, previously exclusive to the initial Turbulent Timeways event, makes a return. Furthermore, the weekly Timewalking dungeon quest rewards will grant Heroic-level gear during the event's duration.

Looking Ahead:

The Turbulent Timeways event, combined with the recent 20th-anniversary celebration, means players have enjoyed—and will continue to enjoy—an unprecedented 18 weeks of consecutive Timewalking campaigns. The event's conclusion on February 24th also hints at upcoming World of Warcraft plans. Given Blizzard's typical release schedule, this strongly suggests a February 25th launch date for Patch 11.1, "Undermined," ten weeks after Patch 11.0.7. With the second run of Plunderstorm (January 14th - February 17th) and the imminent major content update for The War Within, World of Warcraft is poised for a thrilling start to 2025.
