Jingle Hells in Black Ops 6 Zombies: Weapon Upgrades, Ammo Mods, and Support

The festive Jingle Hells mode in Black Ops 6 Zombies offers a holiday makeover of Liberty Falls, but it also alters weapon progression and upgrade mechanics. This guide details how to upgrade weapons and obtain Ammo Mods and Support items.

Weapon Upgrades in Jingle Hells

Unlike the standard Black Ops 6 Zombies mode, the Arsenal Machine is absent in Jingle Hells. Weapon upgrades rely on Aether Tools, consumable items with varying rarity tiers (color-coded). Using an Aether Tool upgrades your weapon to that tier (e.g., a Purple/Legendary Aether Tool grants Legendary rarity). Here's how to acquire Aether Tools:

  • Church Spire: Throw a grenade at the zombie head atop the church spire. The head's destruction releases zombies, one of which drops an Aether Tool. Higher rounds yield higher-rarity Aether Tools.
  • Bank Vault: Loot Keys open safety deposit boxes in the Bank Vault, which may contain Aether Tools.
  • S.A.M. Trials: Completing S.A.M. Trials, aiming for the highest reward tier, offers a chance to obtain Aether Tools.
  • Hidden Power GobbleGum: Instantly upgrades a weapon to Legendary rarity.
  • Mystery Box, Wall Buys, Holiday Presents: Weapons obtained from these sources increase in rarity as rounds progress.

Ammo Mods in Jingle Hells

Currently, only the Cryo Freeze Ammo Mod is available in Jingle Hells. It drops as a consumable item and is primarily found within Holiday Presents. These presents contain random loot, with higher-rarity rewards appearing in later rounds. Holiday Presents are obtained via:

  • Enemy Kills: They occasionally drop from defeated enemies.
  • Naughty or Nice Power-up: The stocking-shaped power-up grants either a "Nice" or "Naughty" UI banner. "Nice" drops multiple Holiday Presents; "Naughty" spawns numerous vermin enemies.
  • S.A.M. Machine: Spawns Holiday Presents when active.

Equipment and Support in Jingle Hells

The Workbench is also absent in Jingle Hells, eliminating Salvage-based equipment crafting and Support item creation (Chopper Gunners, Mutant Injections, Self Revives). However, these items can still be acquired through:

  • Enemy Kills: Equipment drops from regular enemies.
  • Holiday Presents: Can contain equipment.
  • Special/Elite Enemy Kills: Support items drop from these enemies.
  • S.A.M. Trials: Award equipment and Support.
  • Bank Vault Deposit Boxes: May contain equipment and Support.
