Pokemon GO enthusiasts have a thrilling new addition to look forward to with the introduction of the Tour Pass for the upcoming Unova-themed GO Tour. The Tour Pass will be available starting February 24 and will run through March 9, offering players an array of rewards and exciting milestones to achieve.

The Pokemon GO Tour is an eagerly awaited annual event that coincides with Pokemon Day, spotlighting different regions each year. The inaugural event in 2021 celebrated Kanto, introducing nine new shiny Pokemon, including fan-favorites Mew and Ditto. Last year's focus was on Sinnoh, which delighted players with unique Pikachu variants and the debut of Dialga and Palkia in their Origin Formes.

As we gear up for the 2025 Pokemon GO Tour centered around Unova, Niantic has rolled out a new Tour Pass. Available from February 24 at 10 am until March 2 at 6 pm local time, this pass comes in two versions: a free version accessible to all players and a deluxe version. Players can level up their Tour Pass by earning Tour Points through various in-game activities such as completing daily tasks, catching Pokemon, participating in raids, and hatching eggs.

Progressing through the Tour Pass will allow players to reach Minor and Major milestones, unlocking rewards like candy and stickers. Reaching the final milestone grants a unique encounter with a Zorua featuring a special background. It's crucial for players to claim their rewards before March 9 at 6 pm, as they will expire at that time.

Pokemon GO Announces New Pass in Anticipation of Unova's GO Tour

While the standard Tour Pass is free, the deluxe version, priced at $14.99 and available on the Pokemon GO Webstore from February 24 at 10 am until March 2 at 6 pm, offers enhanced benefits. This deluxe pass includes all rewards from both the free and paid tracks, a special encounter with the Mythical Pokemon Victini, and the new Lucky Trinket item. This item, a one-time use, transforms a friend into a Lucky Friend, ensuring the next trade results in a Lucky Pokemon and resetting the Lucky Friend status afterward. An alternative deluxe pass with 10 unlocked ranks is also available for $19.99. Both versions of the deluxe pass, along with the Lucky Trinket, will remain accessible until March 9 at 6 pm.

The introduction of the Tour Pass for the Unova GO Tour is designed to heighten anticipation for an event packed with exciting features. Highlights include the debut of Kyurem Black and White via fusion, reminiscent of Necrozma's appearance in the previous GO Tour, and the introduction of shiny Meloetta through ticketed Masterwork Research.
