EA Sports UFC 5 Receives January 9th Update: New Fighter and Bug Fixes

EA Vancouver has dropped a new update (Patch 1.18) for EA Sports UFC 5, launching January 9th at 1 PM ET on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. This update introduces undefeated Light Heavyweight Azamat Murzakanov, boasting impressive stats (97 Power Punch, 95 Accuracy, 94 Ground Striking). Three additional fighter alter egos are also included, though their identities remain undisclosed.

The update also addresses several issues: a stamina cost reduction for the muscle modifier (from 3.125x to 2.5x), corrected language translations, and a fix for a Ranked Championship Stand and Bang display error. Updated portraits for Stipe and Jones from UFC 309 are also part of the patch. New vanity rewards and a refined "More Offers Store" sorting system by release series (Pride, Prime, Champion, etc.) are added for enhanced user experience.

This update follows the recent announcement that EA Sports UFC 5 will join the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate tier via EA Play on January 14th. While this adds to the Game Pass Ultimate library, it's important to note that it won't be available on the standard tier.

The full patch notes are detailed below:
