Pokémon GO's Fashion Week: Taken Over – A Style Statement with Shadowy Surprises!

Get ready for a stylish showdown in Pokémon GO! Fashion Week: Taken Over runs from January 15th to 19th, bringing a blend of high fashion and intense battles. This event offers a unique opportunity to challenge Giovanni and rescue Shadow Palkia. But that's not all! A Shadow Ho-Oh Raid Day on January 19th adds another layer of excitement, offering a chance to capture this legendary Pokémon in its Shadow form.

Two new Pokémon are making their debut: Shroodle and its evolution, Grafaiai. Shroodle will be hatching from 12 km Eggs, adding to your collection possibilities. Team GO Rocket will be more prevalent than usual, appearing at PokéStops and in balloons, providing ample chances to use Charged TMs to remove the Frustration move from your Shadow Pokémon.

A fresh batch of Shadow Pokémon are available, including Shadow Taillow, Snivy, Tepig, Oshawott, Trubbish, and Bunnelby. Keep an eye out for Shiny variants! For the first time, Remote Raid Passes can be used for Shadow Raids, allowing participation regardless of location.

A special research task will reward you with a Super Rocket Radar, leading to the Giovanni battle and Shadow Palkia rescue. Field Research tasks offer rewards like Mysterious Components, Charged TMs, and Fast TMs. Completing a special Collection Challenge grants Stardust and a Trubbish encounter.

Ho-Oh Shadow Raid Day takes place on Sunday, January 19th, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. This event boasts increased Raid Pass availability, a higher chance of encountering a Shiny Ho-Oh, and the opportunity for Ho-Oh caught during this period to learn the powerful Sacred Fire Charged Attack. A $5 event ticket unlocks even more rewards.
