Sword of Convallaria's Night Crimson Update: New Story, Characters, and Events

XD Inc. has unleashed the Night Crimson update for its popular tactical RPG, Sword of Convallaria. Building on the game's millions of downloads since its July launch, this expansion delivers a wealth of new content, including story advancements, engaging gameplay mechanics, and rewarding events.

Continuing the Spiral of Destinies campaign, the update plunges players deeper into Waverun City's narrative with the introduction of investigative clue wall gameplay. This innovative feature blends tactical combat with detective work, requiring players to solve mysteries and make strategic choices under the guidance of Safiyyah, the Mobile Squad's leader.

Night Crimson also introduces SP Characters – special versions of existing characters boasting unique appearances and combat skills. SP Rawiyah arrives January 3rd, followed by SP Taair on January 17th. Unlocking these SP forms for characters you already own unlocks an exclusive SP skill, boosting the combat prowess of both the original and SP versions.

Beyond the new characters and storyline, the Night Crimson events (running since December 20th) offer a plethora of rewards. Complete these events to earn Secret Fates, legendary trinkets, and exclusive avatar frames. The Waverun Tournament, commencing January 3rd, allows players to exchange event points for special items, providing a significant advantage in future battles.

This update also provides a behind-the-scenes look at the game's development. Developer messages offer insights into the future of Sword of Convallaria, and a special video message features Safiyyah's Japanese voice actor. The update also includes a new theme song, "Never Apart," with a Japanese version performed by Hikasa Yoko.
