Stellar Blade Shift Up Slips Up with DLC UpdateStellar Blade's recent update, Patch 1.009, introduced highly anticipated features – Photo Mode and NieR: Automata DLC – but unfortunately, also brought some critical bugs. This has led to temporary game-breaking issues for some players.

Game-Breaking Bugs and the Hotfix

The update caused softlocks for players attempting to progress a specific main quest in an earlier dungeon. Additional issues include game crashes when using Photo Mode's selfie camera and visual glitches with new cosmetic items.

Shift Up, the developers, are actively working on a hotfix patch to address these problems. They strongly advise players experiencing these issues to avoid forcing quest progression and wait for the hotfix. Attempting to circumvent the bugs could result in permanent softlocks, even after the patch is released.

NieR: Automata Collaboration and Photo Mode Enhancements

Stellar Blade Shift Up Slips Up with DLC UpdateThe NieR: Automata collaboration is a significant addition to Patch 1.009. The developers highlight the mutual inspiration between the two titles, emphasizing the collaborative spirit between Director Kim Hyung Tae and Director Yoko Taro. Players can find Emil, the NieR character, within Stellar Blade's world to acquire 11 exclusive collaboration items.

The much-requested Photo Mode has finally arrived, allowing players to capture personalized shots of Eve and her companions. New photo challenges have also been added to encourage its use. To enhance Photo Mode, four new outfits for Eve and a new accessory (unlocked after completing a specific ending) affecting Tachy Mode have been included. A "No Ponytail" option has also been added for greater character customization.

Further improvements include lip-sync support for six additional languages, enhanced projectile auto-aim and bullet magnet functions for the instant death skill, and various minor bug fixes to improve overall gameplay.
