Summary

  • ConcernedApe is actively working on resolving issues in Stardew Valley's Nintendo Switch version, including the divorce crash and raccoon shop problems.
  • The Nintendo Switch patch addressing these issues is set to be released "as soon as possible."
  • These issues have already been fixed on PC, console, and mobile platforms, but the Switch patch is still in development.

Stardew Valley's developer, ConcernedApe, has taken to social media to announce that a patch for the Nintendo Switch version addressing the divorce crash and raccoon shop issues will be released soon. Since its launch in 2016, Stardew Valley has captivated players with its unique gameplay and charming pixel art, while its relaxing mechanics continue to attract a wide audience. The game has seen numerous updates, not only introducing new content but also fixing various bugs reported by the community. A significant update in December tackled a persistent issue, and now, the patch is nearing its release on the Switch.

ConcernedApe used Twitter to update players that the Stardew Valley patch for the divorce crash and raccoon shop issues is "still coming." Although a specific release date for the Switch has not been provided, the developer assures fans that it will be available as soon as possible. Following the release of update 1.6 in March for PC, which added new NPC chats, the Meadowlands Farm, and new festivals, players noticed several issues. These were addressed on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC, and around Christmas, ConcernedApe confirmed that the Switch patch was in development. Now, nearly 20 days later, it seems the patch is close to being released.

Stardew Valley Switch Patch Fixing Divorce Crash and Raccoon Shop Coming Soon

Stardew Valley's update 1.6 brought a wealth of new content to PC players in March, including new NPC interactions, the Meadowlands Farm, and new festivals and events, along with visual enhancements like waterfalls and seasonal world map changes. However, subsequent patches introduced new problems, particularly on console and mobile versions released in November. An emergency patch was deployed for the mobile version on November 15, while fixes for other platforms were in progress.

The Stardew Valley community appreciates ConcernedApe's transparent communication and swift action in addressing player concerns. Although the patch for the divorce crash and raccoon shop on the Switch is not yet available, players can be confident that the developer is diligently working to release it soon.
