Rainbow Six Siege Sequel Leaked, Boasting Enhanced Visuals

A credible leak from an insider known as fraxiswinning suggests Ubisoft will unveil Rainbow Six Siege 2 at the Six Invitational 2025, scheduled for February 14-16 at the MGM Music Hall.

The insider's information points to a project codenamed Siege X, built on a revamped engine boasting enhanced graphics, including overhauled textures and models. Furthermore, it's speculated that past temporary events from the original game may not return, with Ubisoft reportedly focusing on entirely new events. A release date is anticipated for the second season of the game's tenth year of support, placing it around mid-2025.

This news contradicts previous statements by Rainbow Six Siege creative director Alexander Karpazis, who previously dismissed the need for a full sequel, highlighting the ongoing development of the current game. However, this leak implies a potential shift in Ubisoft's strategy.

It's crucial to approach such rumors with caution. Until official confirmation from Ubisoft, this remains purely speculative.

The upcoming Rainbow Six Siege World Championship, Six Invitational 2025, is generating significant excitement. Twenty teams will battle in Boston for a $3,000,000 prize pool and the coveted championship title. Oxygen Esports, victors of the North American Last Chance Qualifier, secured the final qualifying spot.

The participation of twenty teams represents a unique tournament structure. While Ubisoft might maintain a similar format to last year—four groups with round-robin matches between five teams, followed by a double-elimination playoff—alternative formats remain a possibility. A typical arrangement would see the top team receiving a first-round bye, the fourth-place team entering the lower bracket, and the remaining teams starting in the upper bracket, with the last-place team in each group eliminated.
