Pokémon Legends: Arceus Sequel Rumored Release

Pokémon Legends: Z-A - August 15, 2025 Release Date Leak

An Amazon UK listing briefly revealed a potential release date for Pokémon Legends: Z-A – August 15, 2025. This leak, spotted on January 8, 2025 and quickly removed, aligns with The Pokémon Company's previously stated 2025 release window. The initial announcement of Pokémon Legends: Z-A occurred during the February 2024 Pokémon Day celebrations.

The game, a sequel to the exploration-focused Pokémon Legends: Arceus (2022), was announced without a firm release date. This latest leak provides a concrete date, though its accuracy remains unconfirmed.

February 2025 Confirmation Possible

The official release date could be unveiled during Pokémon Day 2025, expected on February 27th. This coincides with the original Japanese release date of Pokémon Red and Green. Evidence from a Pokémon GO datamine supports this February 27th date for the 2025 Pokémon Day event.

Beyond the release date, fans anticipate a gameplay reveal, potentially also debuting during the Pokémon Day 2025 presentation. The game is confirmed for release on both the Nintendo Switch and the upcoming Switch 2, benefiting from backward compatibility. While past mainline Pokémon titles have featured paid DLC, Pokémon Legends: Arceus only received one free post-launch update, "Daybreak."
