Niantic has unveiled the exciting details for Pokémon GO Fest 2025, including dates and locations. This announcement, made on January 6th, 2025, also revealed two additional events slated for January. Let's dive into the specifics.

Pokémon GO Fest 2025: A Global Celebration

Pokémon GO Fest 2025 will be a three-day extravaganza held in three distinct cities:

• Osaka, Japan: May 29th - June 1st
• Jersey City, New Jersey, USA: June 6th - June 8th
• Paris, France: June 13th - June 15th

A Worldwide Pokémon Event

Pokémon GO Fest is an annual global event offering exclusive items, gameplay enhancements, and bonuses. In-person events in various cities provide unique experiences. Ticket purchase is required for both in-person and online participation.

In-person attendees can expect:

• Rare Pokémon encounters unavailable through standard gameplay (similar to 2024's Dusk Mane Necrozma, Dawn Wings Necrozma, and Marshadow).
• Increased Shiny Pokémon rates.
• Exclusive merchandise and themed sets.
• Community hubs and team lounges.

January Events: Fashion Week and Shadow Raid Day

Beyond Pokémon GO Fest, Niantic announced two additional events for January 2025:

Fashion Week: Taken Over:

• Dates: January 15th, 12:00 pm - January 19th, 8:00 pm (local time)
• Features: Encounter Shadow Palkia, debut of Shroodle and Grafaiai (from 12km Eggs), other Shadow Pokémon appearances (Snivy, Tepig, etc.), and a chance to encounter a fashionably dressed Croagunk.

Shadow Raid Day (Ho-Oh):

• Dates: January 19th, 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm (local time)
• Features: Five-Star Shadow Raids featuring Shadow Ho-Oh. A $5 USD ticket grants eight additional Raid Passes, increased Rare Candy XL chances, 2x Stardust, 50% more XP from Raids, and a boosted Shiny Ho-Oh encounter rate. Lucky trainers can teach their captured Ho-Oh the Sacred Fire charged move using a Charged TM.
