PoE 2's Delirium: Mastering Fog, Passives, and Rewards

Path of Exile 2: A Comprehensive Guide to Delirium Endgame Events

Path of Exile 2's Atlas map features four major endgame encounters: Rituals, Breaches, Expeditions, and Delirium. This guide focuses on Delirium, a returning mechanic from previous PoE leagues, detailing how to initiate events, navigate the encounter, utilize the passive skill tree, and maximize rewards.

Understanding the Delirium Fog Mechanic

Delirium Mirror Icon

On the Atlas, map nodes offering guaranteed Delirium events are marked with a distinctive white and black icon resembling the Delirium Mirror. Alternatively, place a Delirium Precursor Tablet in a Lost Tower to guarantee a Delirium event on that node.

Within a Delirium map, locate the multicolored, shattered-glass Delirium Mirror near your spawn. Activating it unleashes a swirling circle of Fog. This Fog expands, increasing enemy difficulty as you progress. Leaving the Fog ends the encounter and resets the map.

Enemies within the Fog are enhanced and drop unique rewards: Distilled Emotions (used in crafting) and Simulacrum Splinters (for summoning the Pinnacle Boss). Fractured Mirrors, appearing during the encounter, trigger additional mob waves and loot.

Random boss encounters with Kosis and Omniphobia can occur; these are full bosses, not Rare enemies, and can also appear within the Simulacrum Pinnacle event.

The Delirium Pinnacle Event: Simulacrum

Simulacrum Splinter Icon

Each endgame event offers Pinnacle Boss summoning items. In Delirium, high-tier Waystones yield Simulacrum Splinters. Accumulate 300 splinters to create a Simulacrum, placing it in the Realmgate for access to a challenging 15-wave encounter. Difficulty escalates with each wave, and the chance of encountering Delirium bosses increases. Completion rewards two Delirium Passive Skill points.

Navigating the Delirium Passive Skill Tree

Delirium Passive Skill Tree

The Delirium Passive Skill Tree, found within the Atlas Passive Skill Tree (top-left button on the Atlas Map, then top-right), modifies Delirium events. It features eight Notable nodes and eight nodes increasing Simulacrum difficulty. Each Simulacrum completion grants two passive points. Increasing Simulacrum difficulty is necessary to access new Notable nodes.

Notable Delirium Passive Nodes:

Notable Delirium Passive Effect Requirements
Get Out Of My Head! Waystones have a 20% chance to have an Instilled Emotion effect. N/A
Would You Like To See My Face? Delirium Fog doubles difficulty scaling and Splinter stack size. Get Out Of My Head!
You Can't Just Wake Up From This One Delirium Fog dissipates 30% slower. N/A
I'm Not Afraid Of You! Delirium Bosses have 50% increased Life, but drop 50% more Splinters. You Can't Just Wake Up From This One
They're Coming To Get You... Unique Bosses spawn 25% more often; slaying Rare monsters pauses Fog dissipation. N/A
Isn't It Tempting? 30% chance for an extra reward; Delirium Demons deal 30% increased damage. N/A
The Mirrors... The Mirrors! Delirium Fog spawns Fractured Mirrors twice as often. N/A
It's Not Real, It's Not Real! Delirium enemies drop 50% more reward progress; Fog dissipates 50% faster. N/A

Prioritize "You Can't Just Wake Up From This One," "Get Out Of My Head!", and "They're Coming To Get You" for optimal reward increases without significant drawbacks.

Delirium Rewards

Distilled Emotions

Delirium Fog-affected enemies drop Distilled Emotions. Bosses also frequently drop them. These currencies anoint amulets with Notable Passive Skills, eliminating the need for passive skill point investment.

Distilled Emotions also enhance Waystones with guaranteed modifiers, increasing Delirious debuff intensity and mob spawns. Simulacrum Splinters, also dropped by enemies, combine to create the Simulacrum for the Pinnacle event, rewarding Delirium Passive points and a guaranteed unique item.

All PoE 2 Distilled Emotions:

Distilled Ire Distilled Guilt Distilled Greed Distilled Paranoia Distilled Envy Distilled Disgust Distilled Despair Distilled Fear Distilled Suffering Distilled Isolation

This guide provides a comprehensive overview of Delirium in Path of Exile 2. Mastering these mechanics will significantly enhance your endgame experience.
