Contrary to a complete societal collapse, After Inc. presents a world where humanity, though decimated, is rebuilding. The game focuses on managing a settlement amidst a revitalized, yet still dangerous, landscape. Nature has flourished in humanity's absence, but threats remain. While the zombie apocalypse is over, undead creatures still linger in the ruins of former cities.

The setting is a visually stunning post-apocalyptic UK. Players will utilize salvaged resources to construct farms, lumber mills, and housing, strategically expanding their settlements.

After Inc. combines survival strategy and city management elements, incorporating a subtle 4X strategy feel.
