Pedro Pascal Slams JK Rowling as 'Heinous Loser' Over Anti-Trans Comments

Pedro Pascal, renowned for his roles in acclaimed series like The Last of Us, The Mandalorian, and The Fantastic Four: First Steps, has publicly criticized Harry Potter author JK Rowling due to her recent statements opposing the transgender community. This response came after Rowling celebrated a UK Supreme Court decision that legally defines "woman" as "a biological woman and biological sex," impacting transgender women's protections under the Equality Act.

Rowling expressed her satisfaction with the ruling on Twitter/X, sharing an image of herself smoking a cigar and sipping a drink by the ocean, captioning it, "I love it when a plan comes together." This was in reference to her financial support for For Scotland Women, the group behind the legal challenge.

The controversy was further fueled by a video from writer and activist Tariq Raouf, who condemned Rowling's stance as "serious Voldemort villain sht" and encouraged a boycott of Harry Potter-related content. In response to Raouf's video, Pascal commented, "Awful disgusting SHT is exactly right. Heinous LOSER behavior."

Pascal's advocacy for transgender rights is well-documented. He has previously shared sentiments such as, "I can’t think of anything more vile and small and pathetic than terrorizing the smallest, most vulnerable community of people who want nothing from you, except the right to exist," accompanied by an image of a sign stating, "A world without trans people has never existed and never will." At the premiere of Thunderbolts in London, he wore a shirt proclaiming "Protect the dolls," a term used within LGBTQIA+ communities to refer to trans women.

His support extends to his personal life as well; Pascal's sister, Lux Pascal, came out as a trans woman in 2021. Pedro expressed his support publicly, posting, "Mi hermana, mi corazón, nuestra Lux," which translates to "My sister, my heart, our Lux."
