Path of Exile 2: Unveiling Secrets in the Trial of the Sekhemas

This guide provides a walkthrough for unlocking and completing the Trial of the Sekhemas in Path of Exile 2. This endgame activity, similar to the Sanctum from the first game, offers valuable loot. However, it can prove challenging for less powerful characters. While not a main quest, it significantly contributes to early character progression.

Unlocking the Trial of the Sekhemas

To access the Trial, you must defeat Balbala the Traitor, located in Traitor's Passage within Act 2. Balbala presents a formidable challenge early in the game due to her swift and powerful attacks. Upon defeating her, she drops Balbala's Barya, the key item required to initiate the Trial.

After defeating Balbala, travel to the Trial of the Sekhemas location. This can be done via the Ardura's travel map or by teleporting using a Waypoint. You'll find a ruined temple where Balbala awaits, not as an enemy, but as a guide. Place Balbala's Barya on the Relic Altar to begin your Trial.
