NieR: Automata boasts a diverse arsenal, from quirky choices like the Iron Pipe to heavy hitters such as the Type-40 Blade. Many weapons are unique to the game, but one weapon will feel familiar to Square Enix fans.

Noctis's Engine Blade from Final Fantasy XV makes an appearance during your first playthrough. Here's a guide to its location and key stats.

Where To Find The Engine Blade In NieR: Automata

The Engine Blade is located within the factory area, but not during the game's opening sequence. You'll need to progress the story until you return as 2B. Alternatively, Chapter Select (Chapter 9) provides quicker access. Begin at the Factory: Hanger access point.

Exiting the access point, take the right path (2D camera perspective). You'll pass a fenced area, ascend broken stairs, and navigate conveyor belts with moving boxes and potentially lethal presses. Jump to the next cylinder, encountering spider-like enemies.

Use the door to the left, climbing more stairs while dodging exploding enemies. A railing ends midway; extending the platform towards the camera activates another 2D platforming section. Follow the path left across the presses. The final room contains three chests; the Engine Blade is in the leftmost chest.

Caution: More exploding enemies descend once you approach the chests.
