Netflix Unveils 'Sifu' Film Adaptation with Chad Stahelski and T.S. Nowlin

Netflix is adapting the acclaimed video game Sifu into a feature film. The project, initially announced in 2022 and spearheaded by Story Kitchen and Sloclap (the game's developer), has expanded its production team.

According to Deadline, T.S. Nowlin ( Maze Runner, Project Adam) has joined to write the screenplay. While Derek Kolstad's involvement remains uncertain, Chad Stahelski (John Wick) and his production company, 87Eleven Entertainment, will serve as executive producers. Stahelski is also attached to the Ghost of Tsushima adaptation.

Sifu, released in 2022, achieved over one million sales in its first three weeks. The game follows a martial artist's quest for revenge after their master's death, utilizing a mystical pendant for resurrection at the cost of accelerated aging. The protagonist faces numerous challenges in a perilous and captivating world.
