While remaining officially silent on concrete plans, Okamura's comments strongly suggest the possibility of an MGS4 remake or port in Master Collection Vol. 2, following the successful release of Vol. 1. The inclusion of remastered versions of the first three games in Master Collection Vol. 1 on various platforms, including PC and Switch, further strengthens the speculation.

Last year, placeholder buttons for MGS4, MGS5, and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker appeared on Konami's official timeline, adding fuel to the fire. IGN reported that these titles are likely candidates for Master Collection Vol. 2, although Konami has yet to offer official confirmation. Further fan speculation arose from comments made by David Hayter, the English voice actor for Solid Snake, hinting at his involvement in an MGS4-related project.

Despite the mounting evidence, Konami remains officially tight-lipped regarding the contents of Master Collection Vol. 2 and any definitive plans for an MGS4 remake or port. The wait continues.
