Atakhan, the new neutral objective in League of Legends, has joined the ranks of Epic Monsters like Baron Nashor and the Elemental Dragons. Dubbed the 'Bringer of Ruin', Atakhan is introduced as part of the Noxus Invasion in Season 1 of 2025. What makes him truly unique is that his spawn location and form are influenced by in-game actions, adding a layer of strategic depth and variability to each match.

When & Where Will Atakhan Spawn In League Of Legends?

### Atakhan's Spawn Time

Atakhan consistently spawns at the 20-minute mark, which shifts Baron Nashor's spawn to the 25-minute mark.

Atakhan's Pit Location

The pit where players battle Atakhan spawns in the river at the 14-minute mark. Its location, either near the Top Lane or Bot Lane, depends on which side of the map has experienced more damage and kills. Teams then have a 6-minute window to prepare for the battle. The pit features two small permanent walls, enhancing the intensity of the skirmishes.

Which Form Of Atakhan Will Spawn & Why?

The type of Atakhan that appears is also dictated by the game's action level. In games with lower champion damage and fewer kills, Voracious Atakhan emerges. Conversely, in high-action games, Ruinous Atakhan manifests, influenced by the first 14 minutes of play.

Voracious Atakhan's Buff In League Of Legends

Voracious Atakhan, appearing in games with less action, provides buffs that encourage further combat:

  • Team members earn an additional 40 gold for each champion takedown, including assists, lasting the entire game.
  • Each team member gains a one-time death mitigation lasting 150 seconds, turning fatal damage into a 2-second stasis followed by a 3.5-second return to base. The would-be killer receives 100 gold and 1 Blood Petal for their team.

Ruinous Atakhan's Buff In League Of Legends

Ruinous Atakhan, suited for high-action games, grants a scaling buff to the team that defeats him:

  • A 25% increase in rewards from all Epic Monsters, including stats from Dragons already taken, for the rest of the game.
  • Each team member receives 6 Blood Petals.
  • Following his defeat, 6 Large and 6 small Blood Rose Plants spawn around his pit, allowing the team to strategically gain more stats.

What Are Blood Roses & Petals In League Of Legends

Blood Roses, a new addition to the Rift, spawn near champion deaths and Atakhan's Pit, especially after Ruinous Atakhan's defeat. Striking these plants grants champions permanent Blood Petals, a stacking buff offering:

  • 25 XP, which can increase up to 100% for players with a lower K/D/A ratio.
  • 1 Adaptive Force, which converts into either Attack Damage (AD) or Ability Power (AP).

There are two sizes of Blood Roses:

  • Small Blood Roses yield 1 Blood Petal.
  • Large Blood Roses yield 3 Blood Petals.
