HoYoverse's mobile sensation, Zenless Zone Zero, continues its impressive market dominance. The recent 1.4 update, titled "And the Starfall Came," propelled the game to a record-breaking $8.6 million in daily mobile player spending, surpassing even its launch day revenue in July 2024.

According to AppMagic, Zenless Zone Zero's cumulative mobile revenue has now exceeded $265 million. Update 1.4's success is attributed to the introduction of new characters like Hoshimi Miyabi and Asaba Harumasa, alongside enhanced gameplay mechanics, fresh environments, and new game modes, all stimulating increased player spending.

The free availability of Harumasa as a promotional character, coupled with a focused banner featuring Hoshimi Miyabi, significantly contributed to this revenue surge.

Remarkably, the 1.4 update maintained player engagement far beyond the typical post-update trend. Unlike the usual decline in spending a week after updates, Zenless Zone Zero consistently generated over $1 million daily for more than 11 days, and remained above $500,000 per day even two weeks later.

While undeniably successful, Zenless Zone Zero still lags behind HoYoverse's flagship titles, Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail, in terms of overall revenue.
