Hangry Morpeko Is Coming To Pokémon GO This Halloween!

Pokémon GO's Halloween event is launching soon, and Niantic has revealed the details for Part 1 (with a Part 2 to follow!). Get ready for thrilling features and spooky Pokémon encounters.

The event begins Tuesday, October 22nd, at 10:00 a.m. local time, and runs until Monday, October 28th, 2024, at 10:00 a.m.

Event Highlights:

Morpeko makes its Pokémon GO debut! This Electric/Dark-type Pokémon introduces unique battle mechanics. Its Full Belly Mode uses Aura Wheel (Electric), a 100-power move boosting Attack. In Hangry Mode, Aura Wheel becomes Dark-type, retaining its power and Attack boost. Morpeko will be more frequently encountered in the GO Battle League's premium track during the event, and afterward at Rank 16 and above (though still more common in premium battles).

The Halloween atmosphere is enhanced with special decorations and a remix of the classic Lavender Town theme music playing nightly.

Dynamax Gastly appears in one-star Max Battles, alongside Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble.

A free Timed Research event, running from October 22nd to November 3rd, focuses on Spiritomb and its 108 spirits. Completing tasks rewards encounters with Halloween Pokémon, including Spiritomb and Morpeko.
