Supergiant Games has unleashed its first major update, declaring, "Our first Major Update is finally here!" The Olympic Update introduces substantial gameplay enhancements and new content, promising a more refined and challenging experience. The developers plan to closely monitor player feedback to ensure optimal balance.

Key features of this substantial update include:

Hades 2, currently in early access on PC (with a full release and console launch anticipated next year), has already garnered praise for its replayability and rich content. This update further expands the experience, adding significant playtime with new dialogue and voice lines. The addition of Olympus, the seat of Zeus, promises to significantly escalate the narrative tension.

Significant improvements have been made to Melinoe's abilities, including a faster and more responsive dash, and reworks to several Nocturnal Arms and Abilities (Witch's Staff Specials, Sister Blades, Umbral Flames, and Moonstone Axe). However, the challenges have also been elevated.

The introduction of Mount Olympus brings a host of new enemies, including new Wardens and a formidable Guardian. Existing enemies in other regions have also received adjustments to maintain a balanced challenge:

• Chronos: Reduced downtime between phases; minor adjustments.
• Eris: Various adjustments; no longer prone to standing in flames.
• Infernal Beast: Resurfaces sooner after the first phase; minor adjustments.
• Polyphemus: No longer summons Elite foes; minor adjustments.
• Charybdis: Reduced number of phases; more intense flailing and reduced downtime.
• Headmistress Hecate: Loses invulnerability sooner after her Sisters of the Dead are defeated.
• Ranged Enemies: Fewer simultaneous attacks.
• Various other minor enemy and combat adjustments.
