World of Goo 2 Brings Its Fun Physics-Based Puzzles to Mobile

The wait is finally over as World of Goo (mobile) returns with a complete sequel. Developers 2DBOY and Tomorrow Corporation have released World of Goo 2 for mobile platforms, launching alongside versions on Steam, PlayStation 5, and iOS.

A Ton of New Stuff

World of Goo 2 Mobile introduces fresh features, including over 30 new achievements to unlock. The developers also implemented an options menu, marking the first time such a feature has appeared in any title from 2DBOY or Tomorrow Corporation.

The original World of Goo debuted on Windows in October 2008, challenging players to construct intricate bridges and towers using small goo balls while battling physics and gravity.

In this installment, you manipulate realistic liquid that flows, splashes, and exhibits viscosity. You can direct it like a river, transform it into Goo Balls, extinguish fires, and tackle absurd puzzles.

World of Goo 2 Mobile also introduces new varieties of Goo. Players will encounter Jelly Goo, Liquid Launchers, Growing Goo, Shrinking Goo, Explosive Goo, and several other unique species. Figuring out how these different types interact promises to be an exciting challenge.

The game features a new narrative spanning five chapters, offering more than 60 fresh levels, each with additional challenges. The storyline expands significantly, covering hundreds of thousands of years of history.

You will collaborate with an enigmatic corporation that markets itself as environmentally friendly and sustainable, aiming to harvest as much Goo as possible. However, hidden secrets lie beneath the surface, which you will uncover as you progress deeper into the game.
