Unlocking the Gold Armor Vest in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies on The Tomb Map

Gold Armor is a game-changer in Call of Duty Zombies, offering self-repairing capabilities that significantly improve survivability. This guide details how to obtain this powerful upgrade on The Tomb map in Black Ops 6.

Gold Armor's Benefits:

Unlike standard armor, the Gold Armor Vest in Black Ops 6 (similar to its Modern Warfare 3 Zombies counterpart) automatically repairs itself over time, eliminating the need for constant re-plating. This is crucial for resource management, especially when facing formidable foes like Amalgams. Even without armor plates, your armor will regenerate.

Obtaining the Gold Armor Vest:

The process involves several steps:

1. Acquire Statue Heads: Locate two statue heads within the Dark Aether Nexus. These are hidden inside destructible wooden boxes. One box is near a palm tree in a corner of the Nexus (closest to the green Gateway portal), and the other is near the Juggernog Perk Machine on a raised platform. Use melee attacks to break the boxes and collect the heads.

   

2. Repair Roman Statues: Head to the Dig Site area. Place the statue heads on the two ruined Roman statues. One is near the Ammo Cache, and the other is near the Roman Mausoleum (Pack-a-Punch area). Interact with each statue to place a head.

3. Complete Blood Sacrifices: After placing both heads, a new interaction prompt will appear on each statue, initiating a "Blood Sacrifice." This involves surviving waves of high-value target (HVT) enemies (Shock Mimics and Doppelghasts). The number of HVTs scales with the number of players. You'll be at 1 HP during this challenge, but damage is absorbed by your armor. A Tier 3 vest and ample armor plates are highly recommended.

   

   Strategies for Blood Sacrifices:

   • Solo: Use a Mutant Injection to transform into a Mangler, becoming temporarily invincible. Time the transformation to coincide with the start of the Blood Sacrifice.
   • Co-op: Have one player initiate the sacrifice while another player uses a Chopper Gunner from outside the Dig Site to eliminate the HVTs.

4. Purchase (Free!) Gold Armor: After completing both Blood Sacrifices, the Gold Armor Vest will be available for free at the Wall Buy in the Roman Mausoleum.
