Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince – A Mobile Monster-Taming Adventure

Square Enix has unleashed the latest installment in the Dragon Quest Monsters franchise onto mobile devices: Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince. Following its December 2023 launch on Nintendo Switch, this seventh entry in the series offers a unique twist on the monster-collecting formula.

Who is the Dark Prince?

Players take on the role of Psaro, a young man burdened by a curse inflicted by his father, the Master of Monsterkind. This curse prevents him from harming any monster. To break the curse, Psaro embarks on a journey to become a skilled Monster Wrangler.

He allies with a diverse range of monsters, rising through the ranks to challenge his father's authority. Fans of Dragon Quest IV will recognize Psaro as the game's antagonist, but this mobile title presents his story from a fresh perspective.

The game unfolds in the enchanting world of Nadiria, where dynamic weather patterns and seasonal changes significantly impact gameplay. Players can recruit and train over 500 unique monsters, even combining them to create formidable allies. The weather dictates which monsters appear, ensuring constant discovery and a vast roster of creatures ranging from adorable to bizarre.
