After years of battling Ghouls in *Fallout 76*, players now have the chance to experience life from the other side with a new questline. However, before diving in, it's crucial to weigh the pros and cons of becoming a Ghoul. So, should you take the leap and become a Ghoul in *Fallout 76*?

To transform into a Ghoul in Fallout 76, you need to reach at least level 50 and embark on the "Leap of Faith" questline. Once you accept the quest, you'll head to the Savage Divide to meet characters who will guide you through the transformation process. It's a straightforward journey, but the decision to become a Ghoul comes with its own set of advantages and challenges.

Pros of Becoming a Ghoul in Fallout 76

Becoming a Ghoul unlocks unique abilities like Feral and Glow. With the Feral ability, your meter starts at 100% and gradually decreases, but you can replenish it by using Chems. Here’s what the Feral meter offers at different levels:

  • Above 80%: +3 Strength, +3 Endurance, +30 Max HP
  • Above 60%: +15 Max HP
  • Above 40%: -1 Endurance, -5 Max HP
  • Above 20%: -3 Endurance, -15 Max HP, -10 Max AP
  • At 0%: +150% Melee Damage, -5 Endurance, -99 Charisma, -30 Max HP, -20 Max AP, -300% Hip-fire Gun Accuracy & V.A.T.S. Accuracy

The Glow ability increases your maximum health and allows you to heal from damage, which you can activate by consuming spoiled food and exploring irradiated areas.

Additionally, Ghouls gain access to exclusive Perk cards, which can be used alongside human Perk cards, offering significant gameplay enhancements. As a Ghoul, you're also immune to diseases and don't need to worry about regular food consumption.

Cons of Becoming a Ghoul in Fallout 76

However, transforming into a Ghoul isn't without its downsides. Engaging in the "Leap of Faith" questline may alienate you from certain factions, complicating your ability to complete other quests. Additionally, your Charisma decreases as a Ghoul, making interactions less enjoyable.
