To embark on your journey to find the Rime Beetle, head to the Iceshard Cliffs region. Unlike setting a simple waypoint, finding this creature requires keen observation and a bit of luck. The Rime Beetle is known for rolling up balls of packed snow, making it relatively easy to spot in snowy areas.

Focus your search in Areas 2, 7, 8, 11, and 13 of the Iceshard Cliffs. As you navigate these snow-laden zones, keep an eye out for the Rime Beetle's distinctive snowballs. Additionally, following tracks in the snow can lead you directly to your target.

Capturing the Rime Beetle requires the use of your Capture Net, which should already be part of your equipment. To equip it, hold L1/LB and scroll through your options until you reach the Capture Net. Press Square/X to select it, then aim with L2/LT.

Once the Rime Beetle is in your crosshairs and the target turns orange, fire the net to capture it. Successfully capturing the Rime Beetle will add it to your collection and fulfill Samin's request. If you choose to collect it manually, you'll obtain Frost Pods, which can be used to inflict ice damage on your targets in Monster Hunter Wilds.
