Fortnite Reintroduces Classic Gameplay with Reload Mode

Fortnite's new Reload mode throws players back to the game's roots with a modern twist! This fast-paced mode drops 40 players onto a smaller map packed with nostalgic locations like Tilted Towers and Retail Row. Forget vehicles; this is all about intense close-quarters combat.

What Makes Reload Mode Unique?

Reload mode is a high-stakes experience where squad survival is paramount. A full squad wipe means instant elimination – no second chances. Whether you prefer Battle Royale or Zero Build, your team needs to stay alive to win.

The mode features a curated selection of unvaulted weapons, including fan favorites like the Revolver, Tactical Shotgun, Lever Action Shotgun, Rocket Launcher, and Grappler. Victory Crowns remain in effect, and upon reboot, players return with a common Assault Rifle (and building materials in Build mode). A dynamic Reboot Timer adds to the pressure, starting at 30 seconds and increasing to 40, though eliminating enemies reduces this time. Players can also choose to immediately initiate their reboot.

Elimination and Strategy

Eliminated players drop Small Shield Potions, ammo, and building materials (in Build mode), keeping the fight intense and resource-driven. This strategic element adds a layer of depth beyond simple elimination.

Rewards and Challenges

Complete a series of introductory quests for some impressive rewards:

• Complete 3 quests: Digital Dogfight Contrail
• Complete 6 quests: Pool Cubes Wrap
• Complete 9 quests: NaNa Bath Back Bling
• Victory Royale: The Rezzbrella Glider
