Fortnite: How To Get The Typhoon Blade

Author:Kristen Update:Feb 20,2025

This guide details how to obtain and utilize the Typhoon Blade in Fortnite Chapter 6. The Typhoon Blade is a powerful melee weapon offering both combat and mobility advantages.

How to Get the Typhoon Blade

Several methods exist for acquiring this coveted weapon:

1. Typhoon Blade Stands: The most reliable method involves locating and interacting with Typhoon Blade Stands scattered across the map. These stands don't always contain a blade, but checking locations like Flooded Frogs, Magic Mosses, Lost Lake, Nightshift Forest, and Shogun's Solitude increases your chances.

2. Chests and Floor Loot: While less predictable, chests and floor loot provide an alternative means of finding the Typhoon Blade. This method relies on luck but offers a chance even if stands are already looted.

3. Defeating Demon Warriors: Demon Warriors, marked on the map and spawning near active portals, occasionally drop the Typhoon Blade upon defeat. Note that they may also drop Oni Masks.

4. Purchasing from Kendo: A guaranteed method involves purchasing the Typhoon Blade from Kendo using Gold Bars. This requires completing all five stages of Kendo's Melee Expertise Quests first. He's located northeast of Nightshift Forest.

5. Defeating Shogun X (Mythic Version): Defeating Shogun X at Shogun's Arena yields a Mythic Typhoon Blade, the most powerful variant.

How to Use the Typhoon Blade

The Typhoon Blade boasts several abilities:

  • Passive: Increased sprint speed and reduced stamina consumption while equipped.
  • Attack: A slash attack dealing 30 damage per hit, chainable into a combo ending with 50 damage. Can be used mid-air for a downward attack negating fall damage.
  • Cyclone Slash (Aim Button): A heavy attack dealing 90 damage and knocking back enemies. Has a 10-second cooldown.
  • Wind Leap (Jump Button during sprint): A leap negating fall damage.
  • Air Dash (Jump Button mid-air): A forward dash negating fall damage.

Remember, the Typhoon Blade has limited durability and is consumed after repeated use.
