Elden Ring Nightreign Network Test Open for Player Registration

Elden Ring Nightreign Network Test: Sign-ups Open January 10th

The first network test for Elden Ring Nightreign begins accepting registrations on January 10th, 2025. However, this initial beta will only be available on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles.

Announced at The Game Awards 2024, Elden Ring Nightreign is a cooperative Soulsborne experience set in The Lands Between, designed for three-player parties. Targeted for a 2025 release, the game will undergo at least one network test prior to launch.

This limited-time beta will open for registration on January 10th via the official website. While the number of available spots remains undisclosed, successful applicants can anticipate confirmation emails no later than February 2025, the month the test is scheduled to run. Specific dates will be revealed soon.

How to Register for the Elden Ring Nightreign Network Test:

  1. Visit the official Elden Ring Nightreign network test website starting January 10th.
  2. Register, specifying your preferred platform (PS5 or Xbox Series X/S).
  3. Await your confirmation email.
  4. Participate in the test during February 2025.

Platform Limitations and Other Details

This beta's exclusivity to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S is noteworthy, as the full game will also release on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. This means the test will only cover a fraction of the target platforms. Furthermore, FromSoftware has confirmed no cross-platform multiplayer, limiting play to players on the same console family.

Progress made during the network test is unlikely to carry over to the final game. While additional betas are possible, FromSoftware hasn't confirmed further testing phases.

Beyond platform limitations, Elden Ring Nightreign will feature only solo or three-player parties; two-player groups are not supported. Whether the network test will impose additional gameplay restrictions remains to be seen.
