Reaching Bloodmoon Island in Divinity: Original Sin 2

Bloodmoon Island, shrouded in Deathfog and accessible only via a destroyed bridge, presents a significant hurdle in Divinity: Original Sin 2. This guide outlines multiple methods to overcome this obstacle and continue your adventure.

Method 1: The Spirit Bridge

The remnants of a bridge northeast of Cloisterwood, near Jahan and Witch Alice, offer a path. Using Spirit Vision reveals the broken sections. Crossing requires:

  1. Gloves of Teleportation: Teleport each party member individually.
  2. Translocation Skills: Skills like Phoenix Dive, Cloak and Dagger, or Tactical Retreat enable teleporting across gaps. This is limited by party member abilities.
  3. Teleporter Pyramids: Use two pyramids. One companion uses translocation to reach the other side, then the rest teleport using the pyramids.
  4. Fast Travel: A companion with translocation reaches the island, establishes a waypoint, allowing the rest of the party to fast travel.

Method 2: The Undead Ferry

An undead ferryman northwest of Cloisterwood offers a ferry across the Deathfog.

  • With Fane: Fane's undead nature grants immunity to Deathfog. He can take the ferry alone, establish a waypoint, and allow the rest of the party to fast travel.

  • Without Fane: This requires at least two Teleporter Pyramids:

    1. A companion takes the ferry, perishing upon arrival.
    2. The remaining party uses a pyramid to teleport to the deceased companion.
    3. Resurrect the companion.

Important Considerations:

  • Avoid attacking the Undead Ferryman unless prepared for his Deathfog retaliation. Defeating him yields a Soothing Cold skillbook, a belt, and 3,750 XP.
  • If Fane isn't in your party, the bridge method is generally faster.

This comprehensive guide ensures you can successfully navigate the treacherous path to Bloodmoon Island and unlock its secrets.
