Delta Force Developers Unveil Black Hawk Down Campaign Creation

Author:Kristen Update:Jun 03,2025

The recently released free-to-play first-person shooter, Delta Force, has introduced a highly anticipated co-op campaign mode titled Black Hawk Down. Drawing inspiration from the iconic film of the same name, this mode reimagines the 2003 campaign of Delta Force: Black Hawk Down.

Completely rebuilt using Unreal Engine 5, the revamped campaign offers an immersive experience set against the backdrop of Mogadishu’s streets, something that wasn’t achievable in the original version 22 years ago. Designed to provide a genuine challenge, the campaign retains its difficulty even when played solo. However, the developers strongly recommend forming a squad of four players with diverse character classes to maximize success throughout the campaign’s seven chapters.

In celebration of its launch, we had the opportunity to speak with studio head Leo Yao and game director Shadow Guo. They shared their motivations behind reviving this classic campaign and explained why they decided to offer it for free.
