Author:Kristen Update:Feb 23,2025

Days Gone Remastered roars onto PlayStation 5, boasting a suite of exciting new features. Announced during Sony's February 2025 State of Play, this enhanced edition delivers a revitalized post-apocalyptic experience.

Beyond visual upgrades such as VRR and PS5 Pro support, the real star is the addition of new gameplay modes. Prepare for intense challenges with the inclusion of permadeath and speedrun modes. An improved photo mode and enhanced accessibility options cater to a wider range of players. Horde Assault, a thrilling new arcade mode, throws Deacon St. John against even larger hordes of Freakers than before.

Days Gone Remastered launches April 25, 2025. PS4 owners can upgrade for $10. Watch the debut trailer below:

This release marks another step in Sony's initiative to bring popular PS4 titles to the PS5 with significant enhancements. Joining other upgraded classics like The Last of Us Part I and Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered, Days Gone Remastered promises a compelling PS5 experience.

PC players aren't left out. While Days Gone is already available on PC, the $10 Broken Roads DLC will deliver the new modes, accessibility features, DualSense support (where applicable), and enhanced photo mode to that platform.

A recent PlayStation Blog post delves deeper into the improvements. Bend Studio highlights the PS5-optimized visuals, selectable between Performance and Quality modes. PS5 Pro owners will experience further visual enhancements, along with immersive DualSense controller features like haptic feedback and adaptive triggers.

New PS5 players can purchase Days Gone Remastered for $49.99. Pre-orders begin tomorrow, offering eight PSN avatars and five early in-game unlocks as pre-order bonuses. For a complete summary of the State of Play announcements, check out our comprehensive roundup here.
