"Days Gone Remastered: Now with Adjustable Game Speed"

Author:Kristen Update:May 17,2025

Days Gone Remastered is set to launch soon, and Sony's Bend Studio has recently shared details about the enhanced accessibility features that will be part of this updated version. One of the standout features is the ability to adjust Game Speed, allowing players to slow down the action when the intensity ramps up.

In a recent PlayStation Blog post, Kevin McAllister, Bend Studio's Creative & Product Lead, highlighted the various accessibility options coming to Days Gone Remastered. The Game Speed feature allows players to tweak the speed of gameplay from 100% down to as low as 25%. McAllister emphasized that this adjustment aims to support players who might find high-pressure situations challenging.

Play"Game Speed is ideal for players who might feel overwhelmed in certain situations or have difficulty with various inputs in high pressure moments, specifically fighting off hordes of Freakers," McAllister explained. "Hordes are a pillar in Days Gone gameplay and with our new Horde Assault mode arriving in the remaster, we wanted to make this unique combat experience more accessible to our players."

In addition to Game Speed, Days Gone Remastered will offer a range of other accessibility enhancements, including customizable subtitle colors, a High Contrast Mode, UI Narration, and Collectible Audio Cues. The auto-complete QTE feature, previously limited to Easy difficulty, will now be available across all difficulty levels, from Easy to Survival II.

Bend Studio also confirmed that most of these new accessibility features will make their way to the PC version of Days Gone. However, certain options, such as feedback and control customization, will require a compatible controller.

Announced back in February, Days Gone Remastered promises additional enhancements like an improved photo mode, permadeath and speedrun options, along with these accessibility features. This remastered edition of the 2019 post-apocalyptic zombie action-adventure game centered around a biker's journey is eagerly anticipated.

Days Gone Remastered is scheduled to release on April 25, 2025. Players who already own the PS4 version of Days Gone can upgrade to the PS5 remastered version for just $10.
