Cyberpunk 2077

The ambitious plans for a space-themed DLC in *Cyberpunk 2077* have stirred the imaginations of fans worldwide. Originally, CD Projekt RED had envisioned expanding the game's universe to the Moon, a concept that was ultimately shelved. Thanks to the diligent work of blogger and dataminer SirMZK, we've gained insights into what could have been a groundbreaking addition to the game. By sifting through the game's code, SirMZK uncovered references to lunar surface maps, detailed zones such as the Exterior Movie Set and Drug Lab, and even a model of a rover. This Moon location was meant to be expansive, covering an area potentially a quarter the size of Night City, and designed as an open world, offering players a new frontier beyond the familiar neon-lit streets.

One of the highlights of this proposed DLC was the Crystal Palace, an elite space station. Although it didn't make it into the final version of *Cyberpunk 2077*, keen-eyed players can spot the Crystal Palace in one of the game's endings, as V gazes out of a spaceship window. Furthermore, the game files hinted at a zero-gravity bar, part of a cut quest named "201," which would have been connected to the Arasaka storyline, showcasing the depth of the planned expansion.

While the Moon DLC remains a dream deferred, fans hold onto hope that some of these exciting concepts might find their way into CD Projekt RED's next venture, *Orion*, which aims to further expand the *Cyberpunk* universe. Despite the lack of official confirmation on reusing these ideas, the uncovered details offer a tantalizing glimpse into what could have been a bold leap for *Cyberpunk 2077*, merging space exploration with its iconic cyberpunk atmosphere.
