In a statement to Eurogamer, the developer reiterated its earlier announcement of independent publishing, emphasizing its ongoing collaboration with various business partners. They clarified that discussions are underway regarding different forms of partnership.

A public showcase of Crimson Desert is planned for November. Pearl Abyss stated that no release date has been finalized, and any reports to the contrary are purely speculative. A playable build will be demonstrated to media this week in Paris, followed by a public unveiling at G-Star in November.

September investor meetings revealed Sony's attempt to secure PS5 exclusivity for Crimson Desert, potentially excluding Xbox for a period. However, Pearl Abyss opted for self-publishing, believing it would yield significantly higher profits.

The final platform lineup and release date for Crimson Desert remain unannounced. However, a PC, PlayStation, and Xbox launch is anticipated around Q2 2025.
