Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Update Reverses Controversial Zombies Change

Treyarch has addressed player concerns regarding recent changes to Black Ops 6's Zombies Directed Mode. A recent update reverses a controversial alteration to zombie spawn delays, restoring the previous 20-second maximum delay after five looped rounds. This decision follows significant player feedback expressing dissatisfaction with the original change, which negatively impacted kill farming and camo challenge completion.

The January 9th update also includes:

  • Citadelle des Morts Map Fixes: Numerous bug fixes address glitches impacting quest progression and visual effects. A critical fix resolves crashes associated with the Void Sheath Augment and Elemental Swords.

  • Shadow Rift Ammo Mod Buffs: Significant buffs enhance the Shadow Rift Ammo Mod's effectiveness. Activation rates for normal, special, and elite enemies (with Big Game Augment) have been increased, and the cooldown timer has been reduced by 25%.

  • Additional Fixes: The update includes various stability improvements across the game, addressing visual issues in the Events tab and audio problems with in-game milestone banners. Multiplayer mode, "Red Light, Green Light," now awards increased XP.

Looking Ahead to Season 2:

Further bug fixes and adjustments are planned for the upcoming Season 2 update launching January 28th. This includes resolving the Vermin double-attack bug and enabling the Shock Charge tactic in Terminus.

Treyarch's Commitment to Player Experience:

Treyarch's statement accompanying the patch notes emphasizes their commitment to creating a fun and rewarding Zombies experience. They acknowledge that not all initial changes are successful and are actively responding to player feedback to improve the game.
