Blizzard Announces Six New Warcraft Conventions

Blizzard's Warcraft 30th Anniversary World Tour: A Global Celebration

Blizzard Entertainment is commemorating three decades of Warcraft with a global tour featuring six fan conventions across the globe from February to May 2025. These events promise live entertainment, exclusive activities, and opportunities to connect with Warcraft developers.

Following Blizzard's decision to forgo BlizzCon in 2024 in favor of alternative events like Gamescom and the inaugural Warcraft Direct, the World Tour marks a significant shift in their fan engagement strategy. The tour celebrates key franchise milestones, including World of Warcraft's 20th anniversary and Hearthstone's 10th.

The tour kicks off in London on February 22nd and continues with stops in Seoul, Toronto, Sydney, Sao Paulo, and culminating in Boston during PAX East on May 10th.

Warcraft 30th Anniversary World Tour Dates:

  • February 22 – London, United Kingdom
  • March 8 – Seoul, South Korea
  • March 15 – Toronto, Canada
  • April 3 – Sydney, Australia
  • April 19 – Sao Paulo, Brazil
  • May 10 – Boston, United States (during PAX East)

While specifics remain scarce, the conventions are billed as intimate gatherings prioritizing fan experiences and interaction with developers, rather than major announcements.

Ticket Information:

Tickets for these events will be free but extremely limited. Blizzard indicates that details on how to obtain tickets will be released through regional Warcraft channels. Fans are encouraged to monitor their local Warcraft social media and websites for further information.

The future of BlizzCon remains uncertain. A traditional BlizzCon event, potentially in late summer or early autumn, could serve as a platform to showcase content from the upcoming World of Warcraft Midnight expansion, including the anticipated player housing features. However, Blizzard's silence regarding future BlizzCons suggests a potential shift to a biennial schedule, similar to Final Fantasy XIV's Fan Festival. Regardless, securing a spot at the Warcraft World Tour promises a unique and memorable experience for fans.
