"Avowed: What to Expect After Beating the Game"

Author:Kristen Update:May 03,2025

In *Avowed*, Obsidian's latest RPG, the main quest may feel short, but the world of the Living Lands offers a rich experience. If you're eager to explore more after the credits roll, here’s what you can expect post-game.

Does Avowed Have New Game Plus?

For avid gamers who relish the challenge of replaying a main quest on a higher difficulty with their hard-earned skills and gear, the lack of a New Game Plus mode in *Avowed* might be disappointing. At launch, *Avowed* does not feature a New Game Plus mode. However, given the community's vocal demand for such a feature, there's a strong possibility that Obsidian might introduce it in a future update or DLC.

Even without New Game Plus, replaying *Avowed* can still be rewarding. The game's multiple choices that impact both story and gameplay mean that creating a new save to explore different endings and character builds is a compelling reason to dive back in.

Does Avowed Have Endgame Content?

*Avowed* features four main regions, a secret finale area, and a revisit to a major city, which we'll keep under wraps to avoid spoilers. These areas are where you'll find the toughest challenges and where Legendary Quality Weapons and Gear become crucial for survival. However, once you've completed the game, you won't be able to see how your decisions have reshaped the Living Lands in real-time, which can be a bit disappointing.

What You Can Do After You Beat Avowed

With no New Game Plus and limited endgame content, *Avowed's* post-game experience is somewhat underwhelming. After the final encounter, you'll be treated to animatic cutscenes that illustrate the consequences of your choices, offering a glimpse into the fate of the Living Lands and its inhabitants. Once the cutscenes end, you'll return to the Main Menu.

From there, you have two options: embark on a new journey with a different Envoy or reload a previous save. Autosaves before the point of no return and before the final encounter allow you to replay these crucial sections, enabling you to make different choices and experience varied story outcomes.

Reloading to a save before the point of no return also lets you revisit earlier regions. This gives you a chance to complete any unfinished side quests, collect missed items, and earn achievements. With your upgraded gear, revisiting places like Dawnshore can be a thrilling experience.

And that's the rundown on what happens after you beat *Avowed*.

*Avowed is available now on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox Game Pass.*
