Death Note: Killer Within – An Anime-Themed Among Us Experience Launching November 5th

Bandai Namco's highly anticipated game, Death Note: Killer Within, is set to release on November 5th for PC, PS4, and PS5. Initially hinted at by a Taiwanese rating, the game's reveal confirms its unique blend of social deduction and the iconic Death Note universe. It will be available as part of PlayStation Plus's free monthly games lineup.

Developed by Grounding, Inc., Death Note: Killer Within is an online multiplayer experience similar to Among Us. Players are divided into two teams: Kira's followers and L's investigators. Up to ten players engage in a thrilling game of deception and deduction, aiming to either expose Kira and secure the Death Note or protect Kira and eliminate L's team.

Gameplay unfolds in two phases: an Action Phase and a Meeting Phase. During the Action Phase, players gather clues, complete tasks, and subtly eliminate targets using the Death Note (if they are Kira or his allies). The Meeting Phase involves discussions, accusations, and voting to determine Kira's identity. Kira's team benefits from private communication and the ability to steal IDs, while L's team utilizes surveillance and investigative abilities. Customization options, including seven types of accessories and special effects, add a personal touch. Cross-platform play is enabled between PC (Steam) and PlayStation consoles.

While PlayStation Plus subscribers receive early access, the game's price for other players remains unannounced. Concerns exist that an overly high price point could hinder its success, mirroring the initial struggles of Fall Guys.
