Japanese Mahjong Game
This Japanese-style Mahjong game uses a slider at the bottom of the screen to select and discard tiles. Tap the slider to select a tile, then tap again to discard it. The goal is to complete four melds and one pair to win.
Example hand: [1, 2, 3][6, 6, 6][6, 7, 8][N, N, N][4, 4]
Note that certain hands are invalid if you use Chi, Pon, or Open Kan. Pay close attention to the rules regarding the use of 1 and 9 tiles in Chi and Pon. A winning hand requires at least one meld.
Players can create a stronger hand (and score higher points) by paying 1000 points and declaring a Reach. However, Reach is not possible after using Chi, Pon, or Open Kan. Closed hands generally result in higher point values.
A "Lost Hand" occurs when a player is waiting for a winning tile, but cannot win because they've already discarded that tile. Even with a Lost Hand, a self-draw win is still possible, but winning off another player's discard is not. Crucially, a player cannot win with the tile they just discarded, and they cannot win off of another player's discard of a winning tile if they possess a Lost Hand. Winning requires reasoning the hand from other players' discards.
