Five Dice is a dice game very similar to YAHTZEE*, Yachty, Yatzy, and others, faithfully following the rules of Yahtzee. With a simple, intuitive interface, it's the perfect go-to for a quick break while you're in line, waiting for an appointment, or just have a few minutes (or hours!) of downtime.

TRADITIONAL GAME MODE:

Traditional mode closely follows the rules of YAHTZEE. Each turn allows up to 3 rolls, with 13 turns per game. Tap dice to keep them between rolls. Maximize your points by rolling at least 3-of-a-kind in each left-side category. Score 63 or more points on the left to earn a 35-point bonus. On the right, score in categories like 3 of a Kind, 4 of a Kind, Full House, Small Straight, Large Straight, Five Dice, and Chance. Your first Five Dice (all five dice matching) scores 50 points, with a 100-point bonus for each subsequent one. Traditional mode features its own leaderboard.

SEQUENTIAL GAME MODE:

In Sequential mode, you must assign scores in a fixed order:

Left Side - 1's through 6's

Right Side - 3 of a Kind through Chance

At the start, all categories are grayed out. After the first roll of each turn, the valid category for that turn is enabled and turns white. After your 3 rolls, the score must go into that enabled category. The exception is rolling a Five Dice, which can be scored immediately, after which the sequence resumes on the next turn. Subsequent Five Dice rolls earn a 100-point bonus but still follow the sequence. This mode has its own leaderboard.

RUSSIAN ROULETTE GAME MODE:

Only one roll per turn! You must assign a score immediately—even if it's a zero. Finding the strategy to maximize your score is the challenge. Russian Roulette mode also has its own leaderboard.

PLUS GAME MODE:

In Plus mode, unused rolls carry over to future turns. A standard game has 13 turns of 3 rolls each. Here, if you don't use all 3 rolls in a turn, the remainder is added to the next turn. For example, using only 2 rolls on your first turn gives you 4 rolls on your second. Use only 1 of those, and you'll have 6 on your third turn, and so on. Plus mode features its own leaderboard.

SCORING:

After every roll, all valid scoring categories are highlighted in yellow for quick decisions. Where you place each turn's score is your choice. Each game consists of thirteen turns with up to 3 rolls each. Tap dice to hold them, then roll the rest. After 3 rolls, you must assign a score before proceeding. The first Five Dice scores 50 points, with a 100-point bonus for every one after. Score 63 or more on the left side of the scorecard to earn a 35-point bonus.
