Nishino nombrado único director ejecutivo de Sony Interactive Entertainment

Hideaki Nishino ha sido nombrado CEO exclusivo de Sony Interactive Entertainment, efectivo a partir del 1 de abril de 2025.

El anuncio se hizo en un comunicado de prensa nocturno, que también reveló el ascenso del CFO de Sony, Hiroki Totoki, a presidente y CEO de toda la corporación. Totoki asume el relevo de Kenichiro Yoshida, quien ocupó el cargo de CEO desde abril de 2018 tras el mandato de Kazuo Hirai. Además, Lin Tao, vicepresidente senior de finanzas, desarrollo corporativo y estrategia, ha sido promovido a CFO.

Tras la salida del exCEO Jim Ryan el año pasado, Nishino inicialmente compartió las responsabilidades de liderazgo con Hermen Hulst: Hulst al frente de PlayStation Studios mientras Nishino gestionaba hardware y tecnología. Con esta reestructuración, Nishino asume la supervisión total de las operaciones de SIE junto con la dirección del grupo de negocios de plataformas, mientras que Hulst mantiene su puesto actual supervisando exclusivamente PlayStation Studios.

Veterano de Sony desde 2000, Nishino sirvió anteriormente como vicepresidente senior del grupo de experiencia de plataforma.
